Description

The Feuling Parts Race Series® Short-Travel Hydraulic Lifters feature a revolutionary design with only 0.115" of total travel, compared to the 0.200" of a full travel lifter. This reduction in travel minimizes valve float and valve-train harmonics, allowing for higher engine RPM. The decreased travel also reduces the oil volume needed inside the lifter, which mitigates oil aeration, a common cause of noisy and poor-performing lifters, especially with steep, high-lift camshafts. These hydraulic lifters are machined from a robust steel body, designed to withstand high valve spring pressures and provide a slower bleed-down rate. Compatible with Feuling® HP+® or Race Series® oil pumps, they ensure proper oil flow to the top end, enhancing engine RPM and overall valve-train stability. Spin-Tron dyno developed and track proven, these lifters are built for reliability and performance. For optimal operation, short travel lifters should be set with 0.065" - 0.070" of pre-load. Using a high volume oil pump is recommended to ensure quieter and better performing lifters.

Important to know

Feuling® recommends pumping up each lifter by hand prior to installation to remove all air and provide a fully pumped up lifter. A thin weight oil, like ATF in a squirt can, works well. These Race Series® lifters are recommended for engines running higher than 185 lb (84 kg) valve spring seat pressure. The use of a high volume oil pump is recommended to ensure quieter, better performing lifters.
