The Alpinestars SM3 Youth Radium Helmet is specifically engineered for young riders participating in MX, Enduro, and off-road activities. This lightweight helmet is designed with the safety and comfort of young riders in mind, providing excellent protection and ventilation.

Description

The SM3 Youth Radium Helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from a special polymer blend with varying thicknesses to optimize impact protection while maintaining a light weight of 1060g. The helmet is available in three youth sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts, complemented by Alpinestars' patented low friction coating on the EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces. Ventilation is maximized through 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports, ensuring high levels of heat transfer. The comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials, reducing its carbon footprint, and includes hydration tube channels integrated into the cheek pads. Enhanced safety features include an Emergency Release System, removable cheek pads, and a 25mm soft textile chin strap with stainless steel D-rings for a secure fit. Alpinestars has also introduced a new in-house standard for the SM3 Youth to test the helmet’s chin to conditions heavier than the homologation standard.

Important to know

Crown and cheek pads are available as genuine spare parts in different thicknesses to tailor the fit to the rider's head. Youth Medium and Youth Large sizes share the same EPS size, allowing riders to configure the helmet as they grow. Youth Small has a smaller EPS size and can be customized only via the cheek pads.
