The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered to exceed OEM standards, offering superior strength and durability for your 2-cycle engine. Constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, this connecting rod provides exceptional resistance to stress and fatigue. The crankpin is manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring long-lasting performance. Featuring a modern caged needle roller bearing design, this connecting rod kit is built for high RPM applications. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPMs. The small ends are double-drilled, enhancing lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, which is essential when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each connecting rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed to produce an ultra-round bearing surface, maximizing reliability. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit is a must-have for any serious engine builder. Made in the USA.
