The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod kit excels in high RPM applications. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically placed side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM, and the small ends are double drilled for enhanced lubrication and cooling of the wrist pin bearing, particularly crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed for an ultra-round bearing surface, this connecting rod kit is built for reliability.
