Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered to withstand the rigors of high-performance engines. Crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, these rods provide exceptional strength and resistance to deformation. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel, case hardened to a hardness of 58-62Rc, ensuring long-lasting durability. The kit features the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, promoting high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, especially critical in applications where the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers, and double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface for maximum reliability. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers exceptional value and performance. Made in the USA.
