This Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit delivers exceptional strength and longevity. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, the connecting rods offer superior resilience. The crankpins, made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensure optimal performance and resistance to wear. The latest caged needle roller bearing designs guarantee high rpm longevity, while the uniquely designed big end minimizes bearing race distortion at high rpm through strategically located side scalloping and vent slots. The small ends are double drilled to provide enhanced lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, especially crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed for an ultra-round bearing surface, this connecting rod kit is engineered for reliability and performance.
