Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, providing exceptional strength and resilience. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, offering superior wear resistance. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod ensures high rpm longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm, while the small ends are double drilled to supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed to produce an ultra-round bearing surface, the Hot Rods connecting rod delivers unmatched reliability. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit provides a seamless and high-performance upgrade.
