Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for superior strength and longevity. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods offer exceptional durability. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to 58-62Rc, providing a robust and reliable connection. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is built for high RPM performance. The uniquely designed big end utilizes strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled, enhancing lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, which is particularly beneficial for pistons with crowns close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the forging's radiuses. Double honing ensures an ultra-round bearing surface for maximum reliability. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers a versatile upgrade for your 450cc 4-cycle engine.
