The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for superior strength and durability. Constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods offer exceptional resistance to stress and fatigue. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, providing a robust bearing surface. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit ensures high rpm longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high rpm. Small ends are double drilled, enhancing lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, a critical feature for pistons with crowns close to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed for an ultra-round bearing surface, this connecting rod kit delivers reliability and performance under demanding conditions. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers a versatile solution for engine builders.
