Description
Built to withstand the rigors of high-performance applications, the Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit utilizes certified 8620 AISI steel for exceptional strength. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, guaranteeing durability and resistance to wear. The latest caged needle roller bearing designs ensure high RPM longevity. The big end features strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion. Small ends are double drilled, providing extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing – a critical feature when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed for an ultra-round bearing surface, maximizing reliability at high RPMs. This kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, simplifying installation and ensuring a perfect fit.
