Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, offering exceptional tensile strength and resistance to deformation. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring maximum wear resistance. Featuring the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod kit thrives at high RPMs, extending engine life. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion under extreme conditions. Small ends are double drilled to provide enhanced lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, a critical feature when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each connecting rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed for an ultra-round bearing surface.
