Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit features connecting rods crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, offering exceptional strength and resilience. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to 58-62Rc, providing a robust foundation for high-RPM operation. The innovative caged needle roller bearing design enhances longevity, while the uniquely designed big end utilizes side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion. Small ends are double drilled to optimize lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, particularly crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double honed to achieve an ultra-round bearing surface, ensuring reliability under extreme conditions. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, these connecting rod kits provide a seamless upgrade to your 700cc 4-cycle engine.
