Description

Renthal's Twinring™ rear sprocket features a unique two-piece construction. The inner ring is machined from high-strength Ultralight™ 7075 T-6 aluminum, the same material used in Renthal's renowned Ultralight™ sprockets. The outer ring is constructed from electro-less nickel-coated steel for maximum wear resistance and is designed with minimal material to reduce weight. The outer ring is expanded at 200°C and fitted over the inner ring, creating a secure interference fit. This, combined with a wave pattern, ensures a permanent bond that lasts the life of the sprocket. Flat socket head screws provide additional reinforcement against side impacts and prevent contact with the chain guide. Self-cleaning mud grooves between the teeth prevent dirt buildup, reducing chain wear and further minimizing weight. The Renthal Twinring™ Rear Sprocket lasts up to three times longer than a standard aluminum sprocket while remaining significantly lighter than a full steel sprocket.
