Description

The S&S Cycle Cam Chest Kit is a complete solution for upgrading your M8 engine's cam chest. The oil pump and cam plate are precision-machined from billet aluminum and feature a distinctive blue anodized finish. Serviceability is enhanced with removable passage plugs, while independent scavenge sections for the flywheel cavity and cam chest ensure efficient oil return. Debris screens in both scavenge pickups and a magnet in the cam chest prevent contaminants from reaching the oil pump. An adjustable pressure relief valve allows for fine-tuning while installed. Increased oil flow capacity on both the feed and scavenge sides maximizes lubrication and cooling. This kit provides improved cam timing accuracy and eliminates the stock cam chain tensioner. The inclusion of S&S Quickee pushrods, premium tappets, and billet aluminum tappet cuffs – hard-anodized in black for added strength and distortion resistance – further elevates performance and durability. These features ensure improved tappet stability, especially in high-lift and high-RPM conditions. Gear drive provides quiet operation.
