S&S Compensator Ramp - 560-0481

Micro polished mirror finish, cutting friction where it counts. The stock H-D compensator ramp / sliding cam system for the motor sprocket has been a shock absorbing system that is used on H-D models in various configurations for over half a century. It dampens the shocks between the engine sprocket shaft end the primary chain that drives the clutch/transmission. Tough work for sure and for the M8 the first thing to fail on the sprocket shaft. The S&S compensator ramp is a direct replacement Heavy Duty upgrade for the standard ramp and offers more reliability over more kilometers / miles. This upgraded version, over the standard finish S&S compensator ramp / sliding cam, is Micro-Polished to a mirror finish, cutting friction where it counts and keeping the drivetrain running cleaner, cooler, and quieter. Improved oil retention helps protect critical surfaces Advised for all M8 engines from stock to any performance upgrade. - With a micro polished finish - Direct replacement for M8 model bikes - CNC machined from billet 9000 series steel - Heat treated and coated for superior strength and corrosion resistance - Much stronger than stock - The OEM compensator ramp is part of OEM 40100076, 40100076A engine sprocket compensator kit - Made in the USA
